This 1974 mgb is a well restored version of the affordable/fun/workable/iconic british roadster. That makes it the perfect upgraded and reliable companion for people who enjoy driving. It's hard not to be attracted to this roadster right from the first impression. It has lived a good life averaging less than 1,400 miles annually, but there's much more attraction than just that. It has been fully restored in stages, with the final pieces being completed earlier this year. So this sunshine-friendly roadster has a great sunny day personality that radiates through the modern clearcoat. Plus, the metal bumpers have a mirror finish, and that's especially important on this car. By the end of 1974 the mgb traded in its chrome grille and chrome bumpers for black plastic units - forever giving chrome bumper cars the upper hand in style and prestige. In fact, we have receipts for $5,400 invested in the interior alone. The custom black and tan setup is a far more thoughtful presentation than from the factory, and it's made of supple leather. Just one look at the pictures, and it's obvious that the restoration included the engine bay. The light weight combines with telepathic steering, front disc brakes, and modern michelin tires to create a sprightly experience that makes these british roadsters legendary. After all, the feeling from the driver's bucket seat is sung but comfortable. And everything is easily reached from the heat/defrost control, to the black folding roof. That's why there has been a lot of time invested in this powerplant. The whole engine bay is a tidy setup with fresh components, and there's a clean look to the twin su carburetors. With such a nice restoration, someone else will get to enjoy this hard work. This car has been a labor of love, and we have a ton of receipts and the owner's manual to prove it.
