This 1974 mgb is a well restored version of the affordable/fun/workable/iconic british roadster. That makes it the perfect upgraded and reliable companion for people who enjoy driving. It's hard not to be attracted to this roadster right from the first impression. It has lived a good life averaging less than 1,400 miles annually, but there's much more attraction than just that. It has been fully restored in stages, with the final pieces being completed earlier this year. So this sunshine-friendly roadster has a great sunny day personality that radiates through the modern clearcoat. Plus, the metal bumpers have a mirror finish, and that's especially important on this car. By the end of 1974 the mgb traded in its chrome grille and chrome bumpers for black plastic units - forever giving chrome bumper cars the upper hand in style and prestige. In fact, we have receipts for $5,400 invested in the interior alone. The custom black and tan setup is a far more thoughtful presentation than from the factory, and it's made of supple leather. Just one look at the pictures, and it's obvious that the restoration included the engine bay. The light weight combines with telepathic steering, front disc brakes, and modern michelin tires to create a sprightly experience that makes these british roadsters legendary. This 1952 mg-td is altogether a different class of english sports car. These mg-td roadsters were special cars for many americans in the early fifties. They were an affordable way to really enjoy the open road. Detroit had nothing like it. This td has had a full professional restoration by the current owner and it is top-shelf. All chrome is exceptional. The working gauges are jaegar (speedo/tach) and lucas - again, the gauges work. There is a like-new black top with side curtains for comfort. The rebuilt (2017) matching numbers 1250cc ohv 4-cylinder purrs sweetly and is backed by a factory 4-speed manual transmission. (owner is also including a hand crank.) steering is rack/pinion with independent coil spring front suspension and solid axle/leaf springs in the rear. Brakes are hydraulic 4-wheel drum and us versions had 12v positive-ground electrics. Starting in 1950, the mg-td was equipped with steel wheels and hubcaps. (wire wheels look great, but can be maintenance nightmare.) the wheels on this roadster mount nexen 165x80x15 radials.

Stk 2129 1972 mg b the iconic mgb has been a part of automotive lore for over 50 years. They are quite simple to run and maintain and parts are never an issue. This classic vermilian orange-red 1972 mgb is a popular model. Chrome-bumper 'bs are much more in demand than the later (1975-) rubber-bumper cars. This partially restored roadster has sound paint and chrome. Factory steel mags are in good nick with nice radials. The top has been replaced and shows very little wear and the black vinyl interior has been restored to near original condition. All mgs of this era are powered by the 1798cc ohv 4-cylinder engine backed by a 4-speed synchronized manual gearbox. The engine appears to be totally original and performs very well.
