Oh yeah, this is a real mean sleeper offered at a real sweet price. It's probably been a while because these pickups with car-like sensibilities are quite rare. Ford barely made just over 20,000 of these in this inaugural year... And that was nearly 60 years ago. Just imagine how few of these first-year rancheros are still out there. Now take a long look at this pickup. It's more than attractive; it's a minor miracle all the intricate pieces are complete. The full length silver and gold streak needs truly straight sheetmetal for it to make this kind of stellar impression over the whole body. We all love how it's the dividing line for the two-tone paint. This is a one-year-only style that has unique features like the single headlight, outward pointing grille, and thick chrome bumper. The perfect final touch is the set of thunderbird-style wheel covers. It makes this one look like its more about being elegant classic than a street-eating machine. Inside the two-tone continues, which gives the door panels, carpeting, dash, and especially the seats a great uniform appearance. Plus, ford's arching instrument panel is a great-looking piece of industrial design, complete with plenty of bright trim like a good '50s machine should have. The engine bay makes this car worth the price alone. The story is this ranchero was built to be a performance machine around the late '60s just as the renowned speed shop was in its prime. This is a big power motor, and so the glasspack-style dual exhaust helps wake people up to this sleeper ranchero. Plus, the right components have received recent service carbs, brakes, gas tank so that this cool ranchero is more than just something to talk about. That makes for a heck of a deal that we know will make someone very happy soon.

It's probably been a while because these pickups with car-like sensibilities are quite rare. In fact, ford barely made just over 20,000 of these in this inaugural year... And that was nearly 60 years ago. So just imagine how few of these first-year rancheros are still out there. Now take a long look at this pickup. It's more than attractive; it's a minor miracle that it looks so good and all the intricate pieces are complete. This ranchero's impressiveness starts with the paint. The two-tone torch red and colonial white have a great shine because this is a modern paint interpretation of the factory-correct colors. Workmanship is quite good with the original stainless trim along the separation line. The full length silver and gold streak needs truly straight sheetmetal for it to make this kind of stellar impression over the whole body. This is a one-year-only style that has unique features like the single headlight, outward pointing grille, and thick chrome bumper. The perfect final touch is the white and chrome hubcaps that coordinate so nicely with the coker whitewall tires. The entire exterior has a pristine and vintage appearance that's also inside where the red and white two-tone theme continues on the seats and door panels. The view from behind the wheel is pure 1950s cool. Ford's arching instrument panel is a great-looking piece of industrial design, complete with plenty of bright trim to accentuate the dash. The modern am/fm/cassette stereo looks nearly period-correct with its knob style and sandwiched in-between the clock and hear/defrost controls. The same goes for the air conditioner, which is much more in the classic style, but has been upgraded to r134a for easy servicing. Beneath the show-worthy presentation is the beastly heart of ford's famous 302 cubic-inch v8. It's all wrapped in the perfect personality that's easy to drive and love. That makes for a heck of a deal that we know will make someone very happy soon. AM/FM✔ Air Conditioning

Stk. 1539 1971 ford ranchero pick-up originally advertised as the “perfect second car”, the ford ranchero was a combination of the luxury and amenities of a passenger car, combined with the utility of a pickup truck. Repainted back to an original shade of green complimented by an attractive black vinyl interior, this vehicle reflects a wonderful trip back in time. Powered by a 302 cubic inch v-8 coupled to a 3-speed column mounted manual transmission, this ride is no slouch on the street. This ranchero represents driving enjoyment and practicality all wrapped-up into one fun-filled package.

The ranchero was born out of the idea of having one vehicle that could go to church on sunday and run a bale of hay into the fields on monday. But by 1969 something else had happened. The extra power going into the muscle cars were finding their way into these utility vehicles that shared the same chassis. With this added power, these pickups began to look a bit meaner. This ranchero has the more aggressive appearance that went into the redesigned fairlane/torino, and it is turned up a notch with the gt hood scoop that tells everyone there is something mean beneath the metal. The gt package also added a unique grille with a red accent stripe, deluxe gt hubcaps, and a unique black c-stripe that runs the length of this pickup. All of this is perfectly balanced with the factory-correct meadowlark yellow paint that does a good job of representing the earth tones popular in the late 60s. The overall straight bodylines of this ranchero are the perfect capsule reminder of how we ended this iconic decade with plenty of aggression and chrome. The darkness is tastefully broken up with some chrome trim (including the floor-mounted gearshift), silver gauges, and optional wood-rimmed premium steering wheel. This pickup started life out as a ranchero 500, which means it came with plenty of upgrades over the standard model such as wall-to-wall carpeting, an electric clock, and premium door panels. This one was then further upgraded to include a nice set of high-backed bucket seats from a later model torino. Even with all these improvements, there is a nice touch of originality with the heater/defrost and am radio staying intact for over 45 years. The original motor in this car was an f-code 302 cubic-inch v8 – the same base motor found in the gt package. That was a fine engine, but ford offered a buffet's worth of power upgrades for these pickups. So it seems only natural that this one raised its muscle car credentials to a stout and adaptable 351m or 400 block that appears to be stroked. That built block is mated to a c6 three speed automatic transmission. For even more power, there are added performance goodies such as long tube headers and a 2. 5-inch performance stainless steel dual exhaust. But more than just horsepower, this ranchero is also a fine cruiser. Besides riding on a longer wheelbase than fairlane/torino coupes, this pickup comes with features such as power steering, power brakes, and 215/70r14 uniroyal tiger paw tires for modern traction with a vintage appearance. A car-based truck is a fun idea for modern times. Bucket Seats
