We all love how the origins of the hot rod movement were about taking the upright proportions of the model-t and adding muscle machine flair. The way the big v8 is open to the world, the suspension is improved and lowered, the stance aggressively leans forward, and the cab is pushed way back on the frame – it's all needed to make sure this timeless package has everlasting appeal. And while this one has all the fundamentals right, there are also some great standout features, too. The positioning of the front shock towers, diamond plating on the firewall, classic wire wheels, and the rear chassis painted to match the tan body all make this a distinctive take on the iconic t-bucket. But utility doesn't mean missing out on style. The tan interior is in a complementing shade to the exterior, which is nice for a vehicle that is built to be open to the world. Plus, the pattern on the seats neatly wraps around the whole sides for a true uniform feeling. The wood dash adds some nice color, and houses all the essential gauges. There's even a folding roof with the rear window shaped like a t to remind everyone this is a t-bucket. Big block power is great. Then again, everyone will be attracted to this motor thanks to performance features like the edelbrock performer intake and sanderson long tube headers that connect to those wicked side pipes. A stout ford 9-inch diff, large bf goodrich tires, adjustable coil springs in the front, and a five-link rear keep everything feeling good on the road. AM/FM

Stk 2186 1923 ford bucket-t this '23 bucket-t was built in 2015 using quality parts and superb craftsmanship. The style is distinctly old-school, but mechanically it is a modern work-of-art. Many of the new body/chassis/suspension components appear to have been manufactured by speedway motors inc., lincoln, ne - rodding specialists for over 60 years. The frame assembly has a dropped front axle with a transverse leaf spring/radius-rod suspension. Steering requirements are managed by a speedway vega cross steering box and braking comes from front discs and rear drums. The rear suspension is trailing-arm with coil-over shocks. Gloss black wheelsmith steelies sport nice wide radials. The hot rod is powered by a 350ci chevy small-block with all the right upgrades including a mild cam, edelbrock performer intake, 600cfm holley and full tube headers with side pipes. Behind the powerful engine is a 350 turbo automatic and 8 ford rear with 2. 77:1 gears. The fiberglass channeled pick-up body with 20 bed (w/stainless fuel tank) was carefully prepared and then shot with old-school gray primer, providing the distinctive 'no-shine' finish that is absolutely period-correct. There is no top, no fenders, no hood, and no need for any. A stainless steel fuel tank is in the pick-up bed and a door on the passenger side provides easy access to an interior that can best be described as perfectly basic - alloy padded bucket seats, retro floor-shift, custom cup holder and a three-spoke steering wheel (w/o airbag). Stk 2210 1923 ford t-bucket roadster this 1923 ford t-bucket roadster experienced a complete frame-off restoration in 2012. The fiberglass body was refinished in emerald black metal-flake w/pin striping. This paint fits the build perfectly and the unique raised windshield accommodates a classic t-bucket soft-top. The rebuild included lengthening the frame to accept an extended pick-up bed with hinged tonneau cover. Power comes from a rebuilt 305 iroc 'z' chevy small block with aluminum intake, single edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, tube headers, free-flowing exhaust and plenty of chrome. Behind the engine sits a new gm turbo350 3-speed automatic transmission. Cooling is handled by a rebuilt radiator with additional 'pusher' fan. The chassis has been totally refurbished, repainted and supports new suspension front and rear. The front-end features modified radius rods and the rear has trailing arms w/coil-over shocks. This set-up rides nicely and handles very well. A 10-bolt gm differential houses 3. 88:1 gearing. Corvette rally wheels have been chromed, sport michelin radials in the front and oversize rear street tires are very similar to the mickey thompson sportsman series. Other new upgrades include: fuel-tank/lines, fuse box/wiring harness, disc/drum brakes, dual-master cylinder/brake lines and running lights. The interior is classic hot rod, nicely reupholstered in red vinyl. A stylish turned-metal dash contains a full set of autometer gauges. Entry is from the passenger side only - too cool. The original hot rod is still just a wild and affordable as ever. This 1924 ford t-bucket gets all the iconic pieces right, but it still goes for individual style with a slick custom flame paintjob and a supercharged v8 that's leading the way. There aren't many folks out there who fail to recognize the t-bucket's famous shape: open engine, open cockpit, upright windshield, and a stubby deck out back – all of which have been part of the formula since day one. It has that great raked appearance that looks like excessive speed has pushed back every component on the frame. And with the size of those massive rear tires, that tale is not hard to believe. Burgundy is the perfect color for this original-style hot rod. It's dark enough than the flames running down the sides can easily be seen. Best of all, it really helps bring out the chrome in everything from the side carriage lights, to the cragar wheels. The red and white bench seat has some separation for better individual comfort than what's often seen in these hot rods. The driver gets a glossy wood three-spoke steering wheel, and the dash houses a full set of dolphin gauges. All the polished components (air grabber, radiator, valve covers, hoses, etc.) radiating from the front is pure intimidation. Plus, the three-speed automatic transmission and front disc brakes makes getting down the road easy. This one is exciting to drive, fun to look at, and always attracts attention.
