It's the kind of total package that impresses wherever it goes. This ford keeps the correct amount of original model a appearance, right down to the vinyl cover on the roof. But then it adds in plenty of great hot rod touches, and that spirit goes beyond the silhouette. The original henry ford steel has been massaged to look amazing, and the steel fenders were kept so they could contain those modern tires in style nicely. The full package is covered in a high gloss blue that has a fantastic shine in the sunlight. In fact, the paint has such a luster that it takes the place where some other custom builds reserve for brightwork. The result is a true standout appearance. But it wouldn't be a true custom without some chrome, so now it's used to highlight special features like the original-style bumpers, grille protector, headlight bracket, door handles, and iconic american racing torq thrust wheels. And possibly the most interesting bright spot are the dual exhaust tips shaped like the chevy bow tie. Inside this custom blends old and new worlds almost seamlessly. The handsome gray tweed that covers nearly everything doesn't feel out of place in a '30s car, but the custom touches reveal the true investment. It's in places like the modern bucket seats up front, custom graphics on the door panels, and the cool blue accents that match the exterior color and the dash. Overall, it's a very thoughtful appearance. Beyond that are a full set of vdo gauges with a classic style that perfectly fits this ford. This 350 chevrolet motor is car show ready, with polished valve covers, alternator, air grabber, pulleys, and much more. The total package has a nice throaty rhythm out of the dual exhaust. This nice glossy finish looks very period correct, and while it looks like a subtle two-tone indoors, the green shines nicely in the sunlight. But the real standout opposing hue comes from the wooden bed rails that also match the wood on the bed floor. We like this look on a model a because it boldly showcases the older style craftsmanship that came on the earlier vehicles. While the pickup was one of the most utilitarian of the model as, it did come with the fender-mounted spare wire wheel, which was usually reserved for the deluxe ford models. Step inside and it feels like a time machine to 1930. That's because all the major components feel correct and like-new, including the seat cover, door panels, and rubber floor mat. Even the dash looks freshly painted. This carries the correct later design that gave the center instrument panel more real estate and an interesting textured feel. The motor looks very correct in the engine bay. All the correct equipment is there, from the flat copper plug leads, to the original 6v generator, and the block wears just the right shade of ford green. It even has the gravity-fed zenith carburetor in place. But don't be afraid to lead the parade route in this classic because the belt, wires, and hoses appear well maintained.
